Push notifications were broken - they have now been fixed. Also it would appear that any phone upgrade (iOS or Android) appears to break your active notifications so if you've recently upgraded check and see if you're still subscribed.
Awesome! Five eyes is basically a group of countries asking each other to spy on one another's citizens so that they can skirt their own privacy laws. Which is treason, btw.
